My parents came for the week of Ava Claire's Birthday to help us celebrate! It was wonderful. Ava Claire is my Dad's shadow when he is here. For several days, she would sit in the middle of the table and listen intently to Pops tell bible stories. Priceless!

On Oct. 28th, 2009 we celebrated Ava Claire's Birthday Day at home with a cake that she made with Grammy and shrimp gumbo. She had been asking for a DS since Grant got one for Christmas, so she was thrilled to finally get her pink DS. It is such an amazing day to celebrate the life of our gift the Lord gave to our family from across the world. His plan is so perfect! I am so proud and honored that the Lord entrusted her to us and that she calls me Mommy! We all love you so much our sweet Ava Claire! You are a light to our life!
